Holland America launches new 8-night Southeast Asia cruise
Holland America has added a short 8-day itinerary from Singapore with calls in Malaysia and Thailand. The format is designed for those who want to get to know the region without a long vacation.
New route format
The company is launching a circular 8-day route to Noordam in the 2027–2028 season. The key idea is to give guests a rich introduction to Southeast Asia in a shorter format than traditional long programs.
What's on the program
The itinerary includes Singapore, Port Klang with an extended layover for trips to Kuala Lumpur, as well as George Town, Langkawi and Phuket. Due to such a set of ports, travel combines urban culture, gastronomy and beach holidays.
Why is this important
Short routes expand the audience of cruises: they are more often looked at by people with limited vacation and those who want to “test” the region before a big trip.
Practical conclusion
This option is especially suitable for those who are looking for a first cruise in Asia without being tied to a two-week graphics.
